We were sooo excited for Madelyn to join our family. As usual, it was late in the night when the call came. Rachel and Josh were on their way to the hospital. We were only 35 minutes away, but the ride seemed like eternity. We arrived at the hospital and announced to security that we were about to become grandparents...as if we were the only ones it has happened to before. The night went on. Josh put in the movie "Independence Day" and before you knew it, he and Neal were crashed. Poor Rachel carried on while I tried to encourage her and finish Madelyn's blanket at the same time. The moment came so we woke up the men from hibernation and here she came! Of course she was the most beautiful grandbaby in the world. She was our new beginning of a new generation. Oh my, I really am a "grandma"????
Seven reasons why we love Madelyn:
1 - Because you taught us to stop and smell the "flowlers".
2 - You are a wonderful big sister to Hayden and Grace.
3 - You love reading and can read REALLY big words for such a little girl.
4 - Because you always have a BIG hug for us when we come over.
5 - She can dance up a storm.
6 - She is a clone of her mother.
7 - Because her laugh always makes our day.

Thanks for that Mom! And isn't it nice to know that since we are done adding to the clan we won't be waking you up in the middle of the night for a baby run at a hospital?!! AHHHH....so nice! We will see you soon!!!
